Senior and Lead Planners / Project Controls
Fantastic opportunities for senior and lead planners and projects controls professionals to join Prima Uno.
Successful candidates will be working on high profile civil, rail, and nuclear projects across the UK.
Permanent and contract roles available.
We are looking for exceptional individuals to work on projects in Cumbria, Cheshire, Scotland and London.
You ideally will be a Degree / HND qualified and your background will be multi sector and you will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in project controls. The projects are part of frameworks worth over £100m
The projects will involve nuclear decommissioning, civil and rail works including (earthworks, retaining structures, piling and structures). Experience of working with Primavera P6, earned value and NEC 3 form of contract knowledge is essential. Knowledge of Acumen Fuse also desirable.
Candidates must be able to:
- Provide extensive experience in programme and project management, project planning, including programme controls, project review, and cost and risk analysis.
- Have the ability to plan construction works from first principles, preferably with experience in multi discipline major projects and you will have extensive site experience on business related projects in a management or supervisory capacity.
- Provide planning management and support to the pre-contract and contract operations
- coordinate with bid and construction teams to manage and control the planning and programming aspects of bid proposals
- Produce, manage, and update the construction programme and its communication to customers and stakeholders.
- Manage and incorporate change events into the construction programme
- Jointly with the commercial team, secure full entitlement under the contract
- Already experienced as lead planner / project controls you will be educated to professional level with a relevant degree or equivalent in a core business discipline.
- You will have exceptional management and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate yourself and colleagues to achieve high standards of compliance as well as good operational planning and time management skills.
- Excellent critical path and earned value management knowledge
- Experienced in schedule, cost and risk analysis.
- Advanced excel user, dashboard creation and maintenance experience.
- Acumen Fuse knowledge desirable.

Forensic Claims Planners / Delay Analysts / Report Writers
Forensic Claims Planners
Prima Uno has opportunities in the UK and Europe providing dispute resolution services on major projects.
Due to recent business expansion we are now seeking to appoint Forensic Claims Planners, Delay Analysts and Report Writers to join the dispute management team.
As a Forensic Claims Planner you will demonstrate an excellent track record in preparing and writing claims for contractors, based on detailed and thorough forensic examination and analysis of project information and data and using the latest established methods of forensic claims analysis.
Assignments can range from short-term claim reviews to carrying out detailed forensic analysis to establish cause and effect of events, advising and supporting contractors in negotiations, as well as more lengthy and involved dispute processes.
Candidate Requirements:
- Have a strong interest in working in the UK and Europe
- Have previously worked on national and international projects
- Multi sector and heavy engineering experience preferred
- UK passport holders already living in Asia preferred (preferable for foreign worker visa requirements)
- UK BSc degree qualified in a construction related subject with at least 15 years in construction or heavy engineering, and having prior experience as a Delay Analyst/Claims Planner
- Excellent P6 skills and sound knowledge of established delay analysis techniques
Delay Analysts / Report Writers
Our Delay Analysts / Report Writers will be working on assignments on major power projects, civil, rail and nuclear projects based in the UK and Europe as part of a lour dispute team.
- Reporting to the Claims leader and working in multi-disciplined teams
- You will be responsible for the independent assessment of major EOT delays and associated claims on behalf of our clients in the power industries
- Will need to write clear, detailed and convincing claims narrative, applying accepted delay analysis techniques, sound logic and reason in evidence to support your arguments
- Support dispute resolution and claims analysis services on major power projects working closely with QSs and Cost Consultants on valuation and cost issues
Candidate Requirements:
- British BSc Hons Degree
- Around 10-15+ years major project experience in Delay Analysis / Claims Planning / Report Writing with previous experience in the power (nuclear/fossil fuel) sectors
- Ideally have some experience in Arbitration, DABs and other formal dispute resolution, involving cross-examination
- Have a good understanding of the complex technical methods of construction and systems employed in construction of major power projects
- Excellent command of spoken and written English combined with professional presentation skills
- UK passport holders preferred (preferable for foreign worker visa requirements). Other nationalities will be considered (visa restrictions may apply in some locations)
