Prima Uno assisted as expert witness on a delay and termination of contract claim for The Meydan Group. We investigated the Extension of Time claim and wrongful Termination of contract.

The Meydan Racecourse consists of three main components: Meydan Marina, The Meydan, and The Grandstand, which includes 2 horse-racing tracks, a 60,000-seat grandstand, a hotel, restaurants, a museum, and a car parking facility.

The project is part of Meydan City, which also consists of Horizons, Godolphin parks, and Metropolis.

TAK is the project’s architect and Joseph H King Company is the racetrack surfaces design consultant.

Construction of a 7.5 million real estate development including:

• 2 tracks
• A 60,000-seat grandstand
• A hotel
• More than 10 restaurants
• A museum
• A theatre
• Meydan Marina (including a marina, cafes, and restaurants)
• The Meydan (including a hotel, a spa, and restaurants)
• A 10,000-car parking facility

In September 2009, Meydan Group signed a USD 27 million Islamic financing facility with Emirates Islamic Bank to fund part of the racecourse development.
Meydan Racecourse officially opened in March 2010.
